I painted our main bathroom a few month ago but haven't had all the right accessories until now. I got the color from the oops paint section at lowes and after deciding to use it in the bathroom (believe me it was a hard decision!!!) I chose black and white accents! enjoy!

I hate October

The only reasons why I like october is because its my birthday and halloween! The reason why I hate october is because everyone in my life who has join our father in heaven have all gone or so it seems, in the month of october! I lost a friend and two relatives this month!!! ('m not even going to list past years!) I guess its fitting with Halloween and death being intertwind, why shouldnt people die around the holiday celebrating death?! Although for me death is not the end its just a gateway to bigger, better, and brighter things! God is real and his eternal plan of happiness is one of the cornerstones in my life! I feel the love of those who have gone before me daily and I know they are in a better place and that when I return to my Heavenly father they will all be there with him welcoming me home!!!

This is a picture of the Manti temple on the way to my cousins funeral! It was amazing how it was dark and cloudy everywhere except where the temple was the sun was shinning!!!

Camping

The Kearns and Hall family got up bright and early one Friday morning and headed east over the mountains to Cle Elum. We played on the throwing rocks in the river, floating down the river, slip n slide, went for a leisure bike ride, canoeing around the lake, and of course huge fires for smores!!! The boys played all day together! Of all the things we did do over the weekend the boys favorite thing to do by far was throwing rocks in the river!!! We had a blast with the Hall family and I cant wait to go again!!!

Father son camp out

Will decided to take William to the father son camp out with our friend Kevin and Williams best friend Clark. After convincing myself that it was OK for William to go overnight, in the woods, with Will I decided to have a nice shopping adventure at the mall. While I was there all I could do was think about my boys and how much fun they were having without me that I broke down crying in the middle of the mall! A stranger stopped to see if I was OK and sheepishly explained that I was going through withdrawals from my son. Then I got up and hurried away! I decided to get a blizzard and watch AVATAR from the comfort of my couch. The boys had a blast! William and Clark had a contest to see who could get the dirtiest the faster and loved throwing rocks in the river! They played on the big toys and the swings all before bedtime! They did the same thing all over again in the morning before heading home to me who was pacing by the front door! Next time I might have to just happen to be in the same place at the same time!!!

Like Father Like Son!

Wills Mom (Donna) likes to share a story about Will when he was little. He was a great escape artist, especially at night when they were trying to put him to bed. She would place him in his crib and hurry out of the room like all mothers do. Before she could make it to the bottom of the stairs he would climb out of the crib and be sitting at the top of the stairs laughing. Fortunately for me my son hasn't learned how to completely climb out of his crib yet!!! He does have his own unique was of escaping...I really hope he doesn't try it when we are not around! My favorite part of the whole thing is that he is almost laughing to hard to even do it!
ENJOY!!!

Color #2

When my fabulous Aunt Alaina was in town I asked her to help me since she is an awesome decorator and shopper! We took on the major project of my living room. there are still a few things I would like to do but for the most part its done and looks AMAZING!! We bought a bunch of throw pillows and one of them was the perfect color for the walls. I took it in to Lowes and they stuck the pillow in this scanner and came out with the perfect shade of brown. It goes great with the yellow and the rest of the decor! We also bought some wall decorations and some new curtains with rods!!!

What do you think so far?

Thats the awesome pillow!

Basketball!

After having Surgery #11 I decided to swear off all sports and anything else that I might hurt myself doing! Basically I had become a shut in!!! Then my brother Sam brought me back to reality like he always does and practically forced me to start playing wheelchair basketball with him. I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT!!! Its really hard and I suck really bad but its a ton of fun, good exercise and I get to hang out with my brother two nights a week. Sam is ridiculously good and they usually end up double or triple teaming him which doesn't do any good because he is so freaking tall that he just flicks the ball up and of course it goes in!!! I am slowly improving and with any luck will be ready to compete in the fall. I am slowly coming back out from being a shut it or whatever you want to call this funk I am in. (and I'm sorry to all of you that has found it hard to live without me. Lol!)

Here are a few photos of me and Sam at practice!

Tulips

Growing up I always felt like I had a deep appreciation for Gods creations. I love nature and all there is to see! Wills parents came up for a visit and we decided to take them to the tulip festival. It was towards the end of the festival so a lot of the flowers were gone already but what we did see was amazing! I took several pictures of each flower! There is still so much I have not seen and God is still creating! How can I ever keep up with all he has done and continues to do?!

Enjoy some of my pics!

Moms Surgery

Mom had a total hysterectomy last week with lymphnode biopsy's to make sure the cancer did not spread any farther then her uterus. Everything went great and the surgery didn't take as long as they thought it would!!! The doctor was very happy with how things went and they sent her home the next morning! She is doing great and all the biopsy's came back negative which in this case is a good thing!!! lol Moms is doing really well and is very happy with her progress. The only bad news from all of this is mom is allergic to tape and the steri strips gave her blisters all over her stomach!!! She is feeling better and better everyday and I am relaxed and happy that my mom will be around a while longer and I don't have to say goodbye to her just yet!!! I love you mom!!!

What color...

I have been trying to decide what colors I want in my house. Its hard trying to plan the future and know exactly what you are going to like or want in your house. At least I finally picked a color for the kitchen. Its bright yellow and very cheerful! It reminds me of my Aunt Shana. (Yellow was her favorite color) I still have no idea what the rest of the house is going to look like but for now I am happy the kitchen is finished!!!

If its not one thing...UPDATE!!!

So after a few weeks of dealing with doctors we have some better news! My knee is slowly feeling a little better! William is still limping around every now and then! Wills Mother is feeling better and is all clear! The doctors did a bunch of tests and were happy to find nothing wrong with her pancreas, which is were the concern was!!! My Mother has uterine cancer which apparently is the best kind of cancer to have and is usually taken care of with surgery. Her procedure is scheduled for April 6Th, at 4pm. She will recover a day or two in the hospital and then get to go home!!! Wills motorcycle is totaled and he wont be getting a new one anytime soon! He is feeling batter and better everyday! It is looking like it will be a happy Easter after all!!! (Now if we can all just stop passing these stupid colds around.)

Ticket

Saturday was my brother Dave's 40Th birthday!!! We had a lot of fun but we missed the ferry we were trying to catch so we headed north to catch a different ferry. We were running a little behind so we were praying we would make it on time! We had been in port orchard all day and I was tired so I wasn't paying attention and I didn't realize a cop was following me for over two miles counting all the traffic infractions I was committing! 270$ later...OUCH!!! I didn't talk the rest of the way home! I hate getting in trouble and I hate cops!!! The guy was such a douche!!! The moral of the story is plan ahead so that when its time to leave you are ready to leave and give yourself extra time to get to the ferry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IF ITS NOT ONE THING IT ANOTHER...

WOW how can I sum up the past few weeks! I have really bad arthritis in my knee and will be hobbling forever more! I am allergic to tape so when one of my incisions opened up there was nothing that could be done so I now have a small hole in my calf!!! William thinks hobbling is normal so he has started walking like his mother. I totally got a video of it!!! Wills Mom is having some testing done to figure out why shes been sick, so please keep her in your prayers!!! My Mom is having OBGYN problems and is having surgery to see if she has cancer, so pray for her too!!! I can think of anything else except for Wills motorcycle accident yesterday!!! HE IS FINE (thank heaven) and the motorcycle is ok but honestly I dont think I can handle anymore issues in my life so forgive me if I become a shut in!!! The family that limps together stays together!!!

I love my son!!! He is ssssoooo much fun!!!

New Career!!!

I always said I would never get married and now Will and I are coming up on our five year wedding anniversary. I always said I would never have kids and now our family just celebrated Williams first birthday!!! I never wanted to be a stay at home mom until now. My last day of work was friday, january 22nd!!! WWWOOOOHHHHHOOOOO!!!!! Dont get me wrong, I love what I do and i will miss it! Most of all i will miss working with my adopted dad, Dave Badger! We had so much fun together telling jokes and playing pranks on eachother!!! I have the worlds coolest son and I love spending every minute with him! The past few days have been so much fun! We wrestle, play with his toys, go for walks and my personal favorite snuggling!! Some day I will start working on my other homemaking skills but for now I am just enjoying the amazing sweet spirit of my son!!!!

Surgery #11

I know its hard to believe that I have had 11 surgeries now but it is true. I've had two on my broken leg, two on each of my knees, gallbladder, and three shoulder! The latest is a third on my right knee. What was sup post to be a big bakers cyst (which can easily be removed) turned out to be terrible arthritis!!! Basically I have really old knees and my life style will have to change drastically so I can postpone surgery as long as possible. On a lighter note when I woke up I was covered with tattoos and stickers literally from head to toe!!!

New Year Resolutions

One of the gifts that Will and I gave each other this Christmas was a membership to a gym. Naturally one of our resolutions this year (I'm sure along with everyone else) is to get into better shape and to lose the weight!!! For the last two weeks we have been making an effort to work out every day or two and I must say its hard work but I feel better and better everyday!!! I was thinking of doing a before and after picture but I'm pretty sure none of you want to see either of us in our underwear! So just enjoy the pictures that are already posted and I will post others as the year progresses!!!
